CAMPAIGN PILLARS
Public Awareness & Narrative Change
We’ll engage the public through a national screening tour and community partnerships. The campaign will raise awareness, challenge misinformation, and shift how addiction, treatment, and recovery are understood by disseminating trusted local information and resources that demystify the process, fostering informed decision-making among those seeking care.
Education
We’ll present the film in educational and professional settings—including law schools, medical programs, counseling, nursing, and healthcare policy—to equip future and current practitioners with an ethical, evidence-based framework for treatment and recovery.
Our first educational impact screening was presented by the UCLA Documentary Film Legal Clinic at the UCLA School of Law.
Institutional Accountability
We’ll participate in cross-disciplinary conferences and convenings audiences to examine systemic failures and promote shared responsibility towards ethical treatment practices.
Policy & Advocacy
We’ll partner with national and regional NGOs and advocacy partners to promote and support policy changes at the state-level, and foster dialogue across political lines.

"The Cato Institute audience found “Shuffle” both moving and infuriating. It treats people with substance-use disorders with dignity while laying bare how our insurance system encourages predatory rehab centers to exploit them for revenue. This film forces policymakers and the public alike to confront a system desperately in need of reform."
— Jeffrey A. Singer, MD, FACS Senior Fellow Cato Institute
-
“If you are unfamiliar with "body brokering" in addiction treatment, this documentary will be an eye-opener. If you are considering entering addiction treatment, it's a must-see.”
— Tom Hovarth, PhD, ABPP, Founder, Practical Recovery
